Traveling Construction Superintendent

The Osborne Company
$80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

POSITION TITLE: TRAVELING CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

LOCATION: Home-based near a major airport, anywhere in the continental U.S. Travel to project sites nationwide.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time | Salaried

PAY: $80,000 - $115,000 per year plus per diem, company-booked hotels, and a take-home company vehicle

LEAD FAST-PACED PROJECTS ACROSS MULTIPLE SITES, AND SOLVE PROBLEMS BEFORE THEY SLOW THE JOB DOWN

Osborne is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent who is an efficient, hands-on problem solver to lead fast-paced construction projects across the country, primarily within our EV infrastructure division. This is not a traditional ground-up Superintendent role. Our projects are short-duration, high-volume, and often run at the same time across multiple job sites, so you'll manage several crews and subcontractors at once.

Commercial experience is a plus, but not required. We've hired strong Superintendents from production and multi-family residential, civil, utility, and telecom backgrounds. If you can run subcontractors, hold a schedule, and solve problems on your own, we want to hear from you.

Your travel schedule: typically 2-3 weeks on the road, then home between rotations. Home time is planned ahead with your Project Manager, and we book your flights and hotels.

  • Provide a high-quality client experience and communication
  • Submit daily reports, photos, and progress updates in Procore

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • Comfortable with construction software on a laptop or tablet (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar; we'll train you on ours)
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 weeks at a time, with scheduled home time between trips
  • Ability to fly as needed (REAL ID-compliant or other TSA-accepted identification)
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets our vehicle policy
  • OSHA 30, or able to complete it within 90 days (paid by Osborne)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in changing weather, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED:

  • Site work, utilities, concrete, or civil scopes
  • EV charging, electrical, telecom, fuel station, or multi-site rollout programs
  • Production or multi-family residential experience running multiple units or sites at once
